Books by T. J. Blake and what’s to come

My writing journey began with my debut release, Endurance (2013), a gory dystopian horror-thriller novel.

After my fast paced debut came my suspenseful mystery thriller, The Author (2014), which was closely followed by the second gory book of The Endurance Series, Endurance: Apocalypse (2014).

I then took a year gap whilst I finished my last year at university. But as soon as I fnished, I was back and I decided to release a tense dark fantasy short story, Alive (2016).

After Alive, I released my latest novel, Deception: A Love of Lies (2016) – this book has received wonderful reviews from readers across the globe!

I’m always working on new book ideas, my latest includes a brand new horror!

My next book to be released is the last instalment of The Endurance Series – which is currently due for release later this year.

Q&A about my new release, Deception: A Love of Lies

What is your latest book called and what is it about?
My latest book is called Deception – a love of lies, which is about a lonely man, his dog, his love for his woodlands, and a lady that has caught his eye during his daily dog walks.

Billy and his dog, Ella, live in a bungalow on Lavingsham Close; a private estate in Surrey. Billy is someone who has lived in the Surrey area for all of his life; which means he has an undeniable love for the place, especially for the woodlands just behind his bungalow – where he walks Ella everyday. During his recent walks though, he has noticed an attractive woman walking her dog too in the woods. He likes the look of her, and really wants to get to know her.

New psychological thriller, Deception, receives first review on Amazon.co.uk

Very happy to see my first review for my brand new psychological thriller novel, Deception – A Love of Lies

I have been intrigued to hear what my readers have thought of my new novel, and this first review has made me extremely happy and confident. I’m sure that my readers will appreciate this psychological book – it possesses a close proximity of setting, unique characters and an intricate story to make you desire more.

Here’s my first review from a happy reader on Amazon.co.uk:

“Amazing novel! Another great read from T. J. Blake. This is the fourth novel from this up and coming writer. ‘Deception: A Love of Lies’ has you gripped from the very first chapter and I really could not put this down. The character and scene depictions really paint the picture in your mind. A highly believable plot line, intriguing characters and twists & turns make this a real page turner. Well done on another great release. I look forward to the next release in the not too distant future.”

Creative Writing: Illusory Waters

Afternoon everyone.

I thought I would let you all know that I have now added another Creative Writing piece to my sparkly new Creative Writing page. This new entry is a short story of mine, which was previously called The Metaphorical Truth, now called Illusory Waters.
I changed the name simply because Illusory Waters is much more appropriate, and I think it sounds much better!

If you have a spare five minutes, then please, have a read of my new short story Illusory Waters.

The journey so far

‘My adventure into writing began back when I was just seven years old. The set up would be in the dining room with me and my brother at the dining room table. He would be drawing wars and dinosaurs whilst I would be there writing stories.
Even though I was too young to have a plan for the future, writing was the least likely option for me – being a child that needed speech therapy and extra support with writing and spelling, I was never considered to be a child that might enjoy writing.’

You can find out more about my journey into writing and self-publishing by having a read of my new ‘About‘ page.
