I'm very happy to announce that I have started my own business; a writing company in Surrey, UK, called TJ Creative – The Write Solution.

I started TJ Creative with the aim of becoming the local solution for individuals and businesses across Surrey and Hampshire looking for website content, SEO copywriting and social media support. 

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) should be a big part of anyone's online marketing, and digital content plays an integral role in the process of SEO. 

Although my business is new, I hold the experience and knowledge to help you. I have spent many years writing creatively in my degree and as an author, and professionally as an SEO copywriter with a leading digital marketing company in Hampshire.

It’s been a hectic few weeks recently. Work has been pretty busy, I’ve had a busy personal schedule and I’ve been trying to create a brand for my new writing business (which is quite exciting). 

After coming up with my new branding, I started the work on building my website. Having completed many of the site’s pages, it’s very nearly complete and will be live within the next few weeks. 

What will be available through my new website? 

Through my new content writing service, I will be offering content writing, copywriting, creative writing and social media services. 

I won’t go into much more detail now as I’ll wait for the big reveal! 

Should you have a business and you want to improve its online presence or you’re working on your next creative project, then my new writing service is an option for you! 

I’ll launch the website very soon, but should you need a writing service now, then feel free to get in contact with me on my contact page. 

My new site isn’t live, but it’s never too soon for us to start working together!

I know it’s been a while since I posted – just under a month ago – but there is something coming for you. 

Tomorrow, I will be posting a new article for my blog. It’s an interesting one – it’s a comparative analysis using the narratological theory of mind style. 

I will be explaining mind style for those of you who aren’t aware of the concept, as well as use it to review a very well known and successful book.

Sorry that I’ve been a neglectful blogger recently, but I’ve had a busy few weeks. After bagging myself a new job (which I start on Monday – woop!), I’ve been finishing up with my then current (now former) employer, editing my next thriller DECEPTION, and of course, been preparing for Monday.

Creative Writing: Illusory Waters

Afternoon everyone.

I thought I would let you all know that I have now added another Creative Writing piece to my sparkly new Creative Writing page. This new entry is a short story of mine, which was previously called The Metaphorical Truth, now called Illusory Waters.
I changed the name simply because Illusory Waters is much more appropriate, and I think it sounds much better!

Further amendments to my blog

What have I been doing with all of my Saturday morning? Well I’m feeling a bit ill, so I thought why not stay in and do some work on my blog; before knuckling down to write some more of DECEPTION.  

So, what have I done? Well, I came across a piece of work which I wrote in my first year of university. At the time I think I received a 2:1, but reading back I’m not sure how I got such a good mark!
Anyway, I went through it, made a couple of changes and now it’s available to read on my blog as an article. This brings me onto my first change to the blog, my new page – the’Articles‘ page – where I can now upload articles I write or find lurking within my computer. You’re probably wondering what my article is about? It’s about how technological development has impacted our language. The article covers a basic overview of how technology has adapted, as well as looking into how it has changed people’s writing and speaking capabilities, or has it? – How has technology affected the relation between speech and writing?

I’ve also created a ‘Creative Writing‘ page, which basically merges most of my creative pieces together. These pieces currently include my Flash Fiction, ‘Poem Attempts’ and Short Story Nightmare.
On this Creative Writing page, I have added something pretty nifty. Everyone loves a poll (I know I certainly do) and when we see one on a website, it’s hard not to vote, right? This is why I have created a poll for my Creative Writing page. By going to this page and scrolling to the bottom, you can find the poll and place a vote!
It’s a basic question, it’s not political and it isn’t going to impact anyone’s life, but I would like to know which of my Creative Writing pieces you enjoyed most.

A Miniature Story of mine

I’ve recently been strongly affected by something that I found out, and so I thought I would write a miniature story about it. The challenge is not to write more than 140 characters, which is a great challenge. See if you can figure out what the story is about. 

‘I’m forced to come out just twice a day, made to perform and play. 5 minutes gone, off I go, back to my lonesome cave.’

Finally Graduated… Even though I did look like a student of Hogwarts

After three years of writing fiction, screenplays, radio scripts, stage scripts, poetry, short fiction, flash fiction and studying the many theorists within the English Language, I have finally graduated Kingston University with a BA(Hons) degree in Creative Writing with English Language and Communications.

Education was very difficult for me at first; especially for a child who had speech therapy and attended extra classes for handwriting, spelling and mathematics.
I had a tough time learning throughout the school years of my education. I think a huge effect was that I was put down by a number of teachers along the way; always predicting me mediocre grades. I remember one teacher told me that I would be lucky to get a ‘D’ in English Language and completely doubted my ability to attend university to study English.
Well here I am, around 3 years after you told me I wouldn’t go to uni; with a mortarboard on my head, and a degree in Creative Writing with English Language & Communications added to my CV.
I am confident that I’ve proved you wrong, but I do have to thank you for spurring me on to do so.

From this post you can take the belief that no one should have the right to tell you that you can’t do something. Do not let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve something. If you want to attend university, then you can do it!

My Writing Status

Today I returned to University for my 3rd and final year of Creative Writing and English Language.

This year does look as if it is going to be a hectic one; with much hard work and writing to be done.

This means that I will not be able to write as much for my books. However this will not affect the release of Endurance: Apocalypse which is coming very soon!
