A Post is Coming!

Hi everyone!

I know it’s been a while since I posted – just under a month ago – but there is something coming for you.

Tomorrow, I will be posting a new article for my blog. It’s an interesting one – it’s a comparative analysis using the narratological theory of mind style.

I will be explaining mind style for those of you who aren’t aware of the concept, as well as use it to review a very well known and successful book.

Keep an eye out tomorrow; it may be beneficial to you, especially if you’re an avid writer!

Catching up with T. J. Blake – latest articles and creative pieces

Sorry that I’ve been a neglectful blogger recently, but I’ve had a busy few weeks. After bagging myself a new job (which I start on Monday – woop!), I’ve been finishing up with my then current (now former) employer, editing my next thriller DECEPTION, and of course, been preparing for Monday.

Anyway, to the point of this speedy post, I thought I would just give you the titles and links to my latest articles and creative pieces; which I’ve added to my blog T. J. Blake #Author the past few months.

So, below are my latest blog posts, articles and general writing material.

The blog has been given a makeover!

It’s all happening here on T. J. Blake Author. As we await the release of the second instalment of The Endurance Series, ENDURANCE: APOCALYPSE (which I promise is coming really soon!) I have also began writing the finale of The Endurance Series ENDURANCE 3!

But until then, take a moment to look at my blog’s new layout; it has changed substantially.
I hope you like it. Feel free to express your opinion.

Because it’s nearly christmas, here’s another teaser from ENDURANCE: APOCALYPSE (2).

“A sharp, rigid-shaped black machine floats above the M25. Another two appear either side of it. As they hover in the sky, more appear in the distance along the M25. They move into a formation. One stays above the motorway, another glides to the right and the other to the left. They are motionless on the light breeze.

The people in their cars begin to look up to the skies, craning their necks and tilting their heads back to look.”

My ‘Poem Attempts’ Farewell

So of course yesterday, my Poem Attempt 4 signalled the ending to my blog’s ‘Poem Attempts’.

If you missed it you’re probably thinking ‘What the hell are you on about?’

Well basically if you do not know, I am a writer of the genre Psychological Horror, Mystery, Thriller and Sci Fi I have written two books Endurance and The Author.

I have never been a fan of poetry nor have I ever written it. But for my university course, I had to write poetry. Of course, I was very worried about it. I remember fearing that this one module would finish me off and make me lose my degree. But I actually enjoyed writing poetry.

I decided to share my poems on this blog for you to read. I decided to do a ‘Poem Attempts Weekend’ event on my blog over four days. I uploaded a poem once a day.

If you missed this then you can catch up with it all by scrolling through my blog or you can just click here to see all my poems on one page.

If you want to see the posts separately with my thought process/commentary,  then please click on each of the poem attempts below to see each blog post.

Endurance is added to Gingernut books new feature

Gingernut Books have added a new section to their site called ‘Amazon Shop’ where they add cover image links to the Amazon product page of their books, by their very own authors or authors they love.
I feel privileged enough to feature on the ‘authors we love’ side of the Amazon shop with my book Endurance.

Why not have a look at Amazon Shop and Ginernut Books LTD for their services and their authors and books.

Memories

So my parents are sorting out the house, you know, the usual thing of getting rid of your unwanted and unloved stuff.
They came across my old English books at school. It’s now I realise how set up and cheesy school is. Glad to see that my spelling and Creative Writing has improved, significantly. But, at the age of 9/10 I don’t think that, for one of my writing tasks, I would write for the proposed question ‘How do I learn best?’ My instinct reply would be ‘when I drink lots of water’, ‘when my brain is swiched (that’s how it’s spelt) on’ and ‘when I do not cheet (spelling again).’

Another task was to write Similes, I decided to write similes about my brother. The highlight of this task was my creativity, which showed my stupidity at the same time. E.g. ‘My brother is as stupid as a computer.’ The teacher even questioned it, ‘are computers stupid?’. Still got my house point though!!

You’ve got to love looking at your work from school.

Have you got any funny stories of your school days?
